Carpet and Vinyl Remmants
Shropshire Carpets are one of the largest independent stockists of carpet remnants in the Shropshire area. We have carefully selected items in a wide range of colours and styles.
Remnants offer great value for money with the added benefit that items can be taken away immediately after purchase, or should you wish to make use of our fitting service, this can be completed within days.
We stock vinyl remnants in various colours and designs in 2m, 3m and 4m widths, and a vast choice of vinyls in 2m, 3m and 4m widths from leading manufacturers on display in sample stands, which only take a few days to receive in-store.
LVT, SPC & Engineered Wood Flooring
Shropshire Carpets, are proud to showcase the latest LVT, laminate and SPC ranges within our vibrant showroom, we display all ranges from Invictus from the leading Manufacturer Associated Weavers, Victoria Design Floors, Furlong Flooring and COREtec Flooring. We advise you visit us in-store to discuss your installation requirements, due to the variations of designs and installation techniques for these products. Installation service available.
Ted Todd Engineered Wood Flooring
Engineered hardwood flooring is the most popular construction of wood floor due to its versatility and durability. Engineered floors are made from layered sections of solid wood. Each layer runs in a different direction to ensure durability and stability, reducing the wood’s natural tendency to expand and contract. This makes it the perfect choice for underfloor heating, older homes and rooms below ground level.
Ted Todd engineered wood floors are available in a range of constructions; 2 PLY, 3 PLY and 3 LAYER. All their engineered flooring is available in free samples so you can really get a feel for how it will look in your home.
One of the most common questions we get asked is, ‘what’s the difference between solid and engineered hardwood flooring?’ - it’s a valid question; on appearance alone, these two very different types of wood flooring can seem near identical.
The main difference is the way the planks of flooring are constructed. Engineered wood flooring is precision made from layered sections of solid wood bonded together. In engineered wood, the grain of each piece runs in a different direction to its adjacent layer. Solid wood floors are made from a solid piece of hardwood and can be used on every surface; walls, ceilings and floors but can’t be used with underfloor heating.
